A couple years ago an out-of-print book which had been lying dusty on bookshelves for years suddenly became a collector’s item. 

It was published in 1972 by a long-dead British professor, who is now seen as being way ahead of his time, but this book led to the end of his career.

This long forgotten book suddenly became prized because of a ground-breaking lecture on youtube five years ago by Robert Lustig, professor of  pediatric endrocrinology at the University of California. 

In his lecture, “Sugar: the bitter truth” he hailed Yudkin’s book as “prophetic”.  You can still hear Lustig’s lecture on youtube; it is well worth hearing and sharing with everyone you care about.

Someone told Lustig about Yudkin’s book, Sweet and Dangerous. (Its UK title was 'Pure, White and Deadly') He was amazed and had this to say,

“Everything this man said in 1972 was the God's honest truth and if you want to read a true prophecy you find this book...

I'm telling you every single thing this guy said has come to pass. I'm in awe."
