24 April 2014 - Food Navigator - Five-a-day? We can't afford one a week, say 25% of Brits
by Annie-Rose Harrison-Dunn
Austerity and rising food prices have hit healthy eating habits in the UK, with one in four Brits revealing they have not bought any fresh fruit and vegetables in the last week.
According to a survey carried out by the British Heart Foundation which polled 2,444 adults, two thirds of respondents wished they could eat more healthily, but just under half (42%) said they couldn't because it was too expensive.
